Had a really nice experience here! The restaurant was clean and had a great atmosphere. There are two sides to the restaurant, and we sat on the bar side with the TVs and table seating, which was really nice. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and I appreciated that they took the time to explain the dishes to us. The food was delicious and full of flavor. I especially enjoyed the lump rice and would definitely come back to try more dishes.
OMG this place blew us away! Needed a quick dinner and Cinnamon grill significantly exceeded expectations! When we said it was our first time the waiter did an awesome job explaining all the specifics on the menu in just a few minutes. We ordered the chicken biryani, the chicken Kottu Roti, and an appetizer of Gobi honey garlic (fried cauliflower with garlic/honey) they were all incredible. The jasmine tea was a nice compliment to the round out the meal. Service was awesome, price was way lower than expected, incredible visit!
This spot is a gem. It's the only full service Sri Lankan in CT and the service is amazing. I really enjoy the coconut roti. The seafood dishes are excellent. I also love the amount of dishes they offer. They have a variety of platter entrees so it's easy to get a sample of many different dishes in one sitting. They also offer housemade desserts. It's cozy and not overwhelmingly loud, and always very clean.
This was my first time here and my first time trying Sri Lankan food. The staff was very helpful and explained the entire menu. I got the Chicken Grill Fried Rice with a side of the Gobi Honey Garlic cauliflower. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was flavorful. The cauliflower was the perfect crispy texture. My brother got the butter chicken which he share with my nephew who said the food was some of the best he’s ever had. Delicious food and I would go back next time I’m in town.
We had next one experience! The staff is extremely friendly and very patient and explaining their different dishes. They can adjust the spice to whatever level you desire for just about any dish.
Food was good and reasonably priced. The owner took time to go to tables (ours and others) to explain the menu, answer any questions and offer suggestions. Food was delicious, good presentation and provided in a timely manner. Portion sizes were also good.
Let me just say the food here is outstanding. The staff working here were also very, very nice. There’s a reason why they have nearly a perfect five stars on Google. We ordered the chicken rolls, the Gobi cauliflower, roti, the Ceylon tea, the deviled sizzling platter and the butter chicken. Everything was chefs kiss. You can tell they really care. They also brought me out this biscuit cake for my birthday with a lit candle and it was phenomenal. I was so full but couldn’t stop eating it. Thanks so much Cinnamon Grill, can’t wait to come back and try other stuff!
Best Srilankan food ever! This is my first time trying it has become favorite. Place has natural Srilankan vibe! Love to visit again for more varieties Very authentic flavors, tried lump rice wrapped in banana leaf with chicken, fried egg, fish cutlet, fried onions, and eggplant fry. Also tried coconut roti with goat curry!
